Welcome to The Plough & Flail, Mobberley
Nestled away in the picturesque Cheshire countryside, The Plough & Flail is a warm, welcoming country pub. Set in the village of Mobberley, Knutsford, our outstanding rural setting makes us a destination worth visiting.
We serve delicious and fresh, seasonal dishes that have been made using the best ingredients from local suppliers. As well as great food, we also offer a variety of quality cask ales and fine wines.
The pub is child friendly and we have a spacious garden with a play area to keep the little ones busy. We also make full use of the spacious meadow which runs around the pub with our meadow hunts. There are dog friendly sections inside the pub and we encourage guests to bring their four legged friends along. We’re also situated on a popular walking and cycling route, as well as a main bridle path. There’s even a White Peak Alpaca farm sitting opposite us, so there’s plenty to do and see on your visit.
The garden room is a popular part of our pub that can also be booked for private parties. The room can seat up to 65 people, although we can also accommodate larger less formal parties. The garden room is bright, light and airy with lots of nice design features and quality furnishings. In the summer, we can swing open the doors onto the patio and al fresco dining area, which also has a private bar. In the winter, our star attraction is the large fire that warms the room.

I visited the Plough & Flail recently and had a great experience. It was a quiet Tuesday night with very few other diners but it didn't detract from the evening at all. The waitress was extremely attentive and polite and the food was delicious. Will be returning again soon! Thanks guys!
Had a lovely lunch with friends, there was a warm and friendly atmosphere, a great fire, the food was really good and freshly cooked, especially the fish pie, prices are reasonable too, thoroughly enjoyed it.
We go quite often to this charming pub because the food is always good. The space is light and airy and the tables well spaced. There is an outside eating area and a nice little playground for youngsters.
Disabled access is also good.
